Even if you do it wrong, you still get lots of attention and brand recognition.
Here is the step-by-step document and path that I applied to generate 9 leads in 2 weeks via content marketing.
You may argue that this is not that many leads.
The reality is that I rather have fewer leads but close more, rather than the other way around.
I closed 3 of them in 3 days (valued more than $100k in the pipeline).
You can replicate what I did in your niche and expect the same level of success.
Even if you do this the wrong way, or are not willing to spend the same level of energy and work, you will still get attention, engagement, and brand recognition.
Let's dive in.
Step 1: Content ideation
Many founders tell me that they are struggling to find content ideas.
Well, the reason is you are not looking enough to find content ideas.
I started to surf Reddit for content ideas.
I was focusing on subreddits of Startups and Entrepreneurs.
Sort discussions based on the top engagements and sort comments, focusing on top and hot discussions.
This gave me a sound idea of what topics are people discussing and potentially debating.
Then I started to leverage those stories in my content.
Also, adding my own personal view as well.
Everyone has a point of view on different topics.
Don't be afraid to express your personal opinion.
This will make your content, unique and interesting.
Try to avoid generic and boring copy that nobody reads.
Step 2: Write the way you speak
Do not be worried about grammar checks, or your tone of voice.
Just write the way you talk.
Again, this will make your content highly unique.
The good thing about startups is that we can write about anything we want, the way we want.
Big orgs cannot go wild.
So, use it to your advantage.
Step 3: Spread the message
Spread the message in places where your target market is active.
For me, it is mainly Twitter and Facebook.
I need to have a better TikTok strategy BTW.
Now that you know my formula, go ahead and experiment.
I can help you draft a content strategy that attracts venture capital investors.
If you want to write blogs, social media posts, pitch decks, and email outreach, I help B2B SaaS startups build those assets to get exposure to investors.
